The series, Liminal Illusions endeavours to illuminate BC’s forest stewardship through the flow of nature. The works witness environmental portals gradually emerging in Gaia. These iridescent thresholds may appear as vibrational apparitions or metaphorical illusions, signposts to the imminent climate crisis. Undertaking these complex issues of environmental stewardship and global conservation, the artist’s lens-based imagery experiments with representing physical, emotional and symbolic openings present within liminal spaces in our natural world.

New work:
– Liminal Illusions – Endeavours to illuminate BC’s forest stewardship through the flow of nature.
– Seeing Anew: Earthly Presence – Beholding the beauty of the world beyond the news
– Awakening into Nature  – Short Film
– Meditating into the Natural World – Short Film
– Resistance – Short Animated Loop
– Meditating into Art… The Art of Viewing – Experimental installation concept

Excursions to the ancestral ruins of China inspired me to pursue a spiritual path as an artistic expression. I have journeyed through the ancient civilizations of South East Asia, Peru and Mexico, the historical monuments of the European Union, and the natural wonders of America.

It is said… The Buddha once held up a flower for his fellow monks. After witnessing the presence of the bloom, a monk smiled, yet remained motionless. This practice of stillness and awareness is believed to be the origins and nature of Zen.

Overall, the work invites the viewer to conceptualize our majestic world anew by staying present, by quieting the mind, opening our heart and by reflecting upon our human search for being.
