Almost four decades ago I completed this gesture / figure drawing: Tonal Nude, 1983 which was acquired by local collector after perusing this piece during the 2021 #EastsideCultureCrawl25
Drawn with my left hand (I’m right handed), the attention to light, shadow and weight of the body has always drawn me to this composition. There seems to be something raw and captivating when drawing a beautiful human form… Live.
I feel very fortunate and grateful with the acquisition. Will return to live drawing classes in 2022 with a short centring meditation prior to each session… Enjoy today ; )
