The Cut – TFL108 transforms documentation into confrontation. Composed of 108 tree stumps sourced from the Kruger Lake clear cut in Wells, British Columbia, the work recontextualizes absence as presence. These paired images form a fragmented archive—one that speaks to loss, extraction, and the systematic reshaping of natural landscapes. Rather than isolating deforestation as a singular act, the series emphasizes its broader ecological and cultural implications, inviting viewers to bear witness and reflect on the long-term consequences of intervention.
