I am honoured to have my recent work “Still[s]… In Sacred Places” accepted by the Britannia Art Gallery in East Vancouver as part of a two artist show with “The Caress and the Sting” by Clare Yow. The gallery exhibition is curated by Haruko Joyce Okano.

#SacredStills explores, captures and presents many ancient civilizations around the world including Angkor Temples in Cambodia, Shaolin Temple in China, Machu Picchu in Peru and Canyons of America. Some juxtapositioned with select indigenous people and icons including flowers, trunks and incense. My work explores these moments of awakening with the power of meditative prayers and are a reminder for the viewer to remain present.
The Britannia Art Gallery showcases the work of local artists and is located in the Adult Lounge of the Britannia Library. Gallery opening receptions with the artist in attendance, are free and open to all to attend. Event catering will be provided by Michael Speier of Open Sesame.
